A wide range of organisations and businesses across Kent support
the Walking Bus project. Many do so by sponsoring specific aspects of our service,
such as funding the high-visibility tabards worn by children and adult helpers
while on the Walking Bus, or funding a newsletter to schools. Others support
the end of term goodie bags given to children to reward them for regularly using
their local 'bus'. Typically these contain free child vouchers to local swimming
pools, nature reserves or other attractions.
The third way organisations support the project is by donating items or tickets for our end of term draws. These are held to thank the parent volunteers who escort Walking Buses within each operational area of the project. Donated prizes can be anything from a pair of theatre tickets, meal at a restaurant or a short family break.
Organisations donating items or vouchers for draws, goodie bags, or funding tabards or other aspects of the service, receive a range of promotional and publicity benefits to thank them for their support. To find out about the different sponsorship packages available through funding high visibility tabards click on the Back the Bus link on the right. To support either the goodie bags or prize draws e-mail project chairman Simon Dolby for information: kentwalkingbus@aol.com
